🏁 Green Machines & British Dreams: Aston Martin F1 at the Heart of Silverstone Week

By Big Plant Pots | July 2025 |

“It’s the home race. The one every British team circles in bold red on the calendar. And in 2025, the build-up was every bit as electrifying as the race itself.”

🌆 Covent Garden: The Calm Before the Roar

While the engines were still being finely tuned in the Silverstone garages, a different kind of showcase unfolded in London’s Covent Garden on 5 July 2025. The Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team — never ones to pass up a bit of theatre — brought their sleek, sculpted 2025 challenger, the AMR25, right to the people.

Nestled in one of London’s most iconic spaces, the AMR25 sat coolly under the city’s early summer skies. Fans and tourists flocked to it, drawn by the shimmer of carbon fibre and the promise of racing pedigree. And there, complementing the machine with quiet authority, were four Forest Green Biggie Planters from BigPlantPots.co.uk — framing the scene with a balance of nature and design that even Adrian Newey might appreciate.

Were they exact Aston Martin Racing Green? Not quite. But they played their part like seasoned pit crew — bold, British, and built to perform.

🏎️ The AMR25: Precision in British Racing Form

Let’s not forget the car itself. The AMR25 is the latest in Aston Martin’s F1 evolution — an aerodynamic statement of intent, forged at the team’s gleaming new Silverstone campus. With Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll at the wheel this season, the car has shown flashes of brilliance: especially on high-downforce circuits where Aston’s setup wizardry can stretch its legs.

Covent Garden offered a rare up-close look. No VIP pass. No paddock credentials. Just you, the car… and some very good-looking planters.

☕ Aston Matcha: F1, But Make It Lifestyle

The pop-up was more than just a photo op. Aston Martin, embracing its role as a modern luxury brand, partnered with local artisans to create an immersive experience. Enter “Aston Matcha” — a designer café concept that served (yes) matcha lattes in bespoke green cups, surrounded by curated merchandise and green hues so refined they’d make a paint swatch blush.

And that’s where the planters came into their own. The Biggie, in Forest Green, added a structured botanical accent to the display. Not overpowering. Not trying too hard. Just the kind of understated style you'd expect from a team that wants to win — and look good doing it.

🇬🇧 Onward to Silverstone: The Home Grand Prix

From the curated calm of Covent Garden, the scene shifted rapidly to the raw energy of Silverstone Circuit. The British Grand Prix is more than just a race — it’s a pilgrimage. Flags fly. The roar from Copse Corner vibrates through your chest. The car launches feel like thunderclaps.

Aston Martin entered the weekend under pressure — fans and pundits alike wondering whether the AMR25 could deliver on home soil. And while the podium proved elusive, the team showed grit. Alonso dragged the car through a wet-dry qualifying like only he can. Stroll kept it clean on Sunday, bringing home solid points despite heavy traffic and hard-charging midfielders.

No wins this time. But pride? Plenty of it.

🪴 A Victory for Design

Back at HQ, we’re proud to have played a small — but visible — part in Aston Martin’s British Grand Prix journey. The Forest Green Biggie Planters may not set lap records, but they do turn heads.

For event organisers, stylists, or anyone seeking a blend of durability and design: the same planters used to elevate Aston Martin’s Covent Garden display are available right now. No wind tunnel required.

🧑🌾 Final Thoughts: Motorsport Meets Materials That Matter

From London’s stone-paved piazzas to Northamptonshire’s sun-drenched straights, Aston Martin showed what British engineering — and British design — can do. As the champagne mist settles on another Silverstone weekend, we’re left with one clear takeaway:

Even in Formula One, it’s not just about the machinery. It’s about the environment. The whole setup. The green touches. The unexpected partnerships that bring the paddock closer to the people.

We’re not building engines. We’re not chasing milliseconds. But we are helping brands — even Formula One teams — tell their story in style.
